32-20 Dies?
Jul 6th, 2016 at 5:00pm

I'm seriously thinking about a 32-20 CPA, breech-seating rifle.  What kind of dies are required, if any?  Would not a sizing die be needed on new brass (at least once)?  I understand that once the case is fire-formed, that's as far as the brass will go.  Any help is appreciated.

Suppose it depends on your brass and chamber.  I have never resized a 32-40 case for BS.

... and if you go with the CPA chambering for 32-20, I don't think any "factory" 32-20 dies will work since the bullet is around .320" instead of .311".  If you are breech seating, you want to fire form the case to the chamber anyway, so you shouldn't need to mess with it after it expands from original size.

IMHO, you would be best served by talking to Paul or Gail and go with their recommendation on dies based on how your rifle is chambered and what size the bore is.
They would know best by far.
