POPE STYLE PRIMING TOOLS

I recently acquired another Pope style priming tool made by Simmons. It came with a shell holder for the 30-40 Krag and the 45-70. I have two others made by Charles pool. The first one I bought cost me $100 and two space saver phones which are now worth more than the priming tool. I bought it from a coworker and he had Pool make it for the 22-250 cartridge. He had bought a Remington 40X in that caliber. Before ever firing the rifle he shipped it to Hart to have a new barrel installed. Hart had the rifle for over a year and had never called. My friend finally called Hart and asked what the hold up was. It turned out Hart had lost his address. My friend never fired the rifle are used the reloading tool Pool had made for him. You would have to know my coworker, he was different. A short time after paying the 100 bucks and two old phones for the first tool I was walking thru the Pomona, Ca. gun show and saw another pope style tool on a table. I asked what he wanted for it and when he said 15 dollars I almost twisted my arm out of the socket getting to my wallet. I heard that Gerry Cleave had been left the lathe and mill pool had used to make these priming tools and had been shown how to use them. I called Gerry and asked if he would make me some more shell holders and he very kindly consented and he did a great job. I can't tell any difference between his work and his uncle C. Pool.

Actually Brice, it is in both pictures. The second picture is just larger. It is the straight tube with the adjustable knob on the top. It is used to seat the bullet to a desired depth. I can see both pictures on my monitor.
