Bullet diameter

Probably this has been asked a thousand times. I just purchased a Shiloh 45-70 heavy barreled Sharps. The bore measures .458 and .450 with a 1 in 18 twist. I can't shoot more than 200 yards at the local range. I'm looking for a bullet recommendation. Thanks.

Flintlock, at the maximum distance you will be shooting, the Lyman 457124 government bullet will produce nice groups with a good set of eyes & smooth trigger pull
(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) 385 grains

It's 'big brother', the 457125 bullet weighing 500 grs was shot at the Sandy Hook trials and hit a target multiple times - Two Miles Away!
