Does it really make much of a differance, just going to shoot up to 500yds chickens, turkeys, rams. I can find used rifles in 28in but seem like 30in is harder to find. Jaquas has one now ,it is 28in. Would really like to find 40-65 in CPA or C. Sharps in Ohio where could do  F.F   Thanks  Ao3

The now discontinued Pedersoli Silohette model in 40/65 had a 32" barrel. Mine is mounted with a long 6X Malcolm

I had a CPA built last year and asked the same question. I was told the 2" are not worth the extra expense and with smokeless, nothing is lost with performance.
My 28" CPA works great.
Mike.
