I looked at the whole link.  Note the Evans.  The really scary thing about an Evans is that the Evans cartridge is dimensionally very close to a .44 Magnum revolver cartridge.  The Magnum cartridge will chamber properly and may well go off if someone pulls the trigger.

What jumped out at me is when is Hollywood going to put the adjustments on the correct end of the scope?

Or the correct adjustments! In the case of Brad Johnson's Remington Keene, they put adjustable mounts on both ends of the scope! A typical 3 point rear mount on the front, and a Malcolm style long range adjustable mount on the rear!

When making those awesome, unbelievably long shots, one needs the increased range adjustments  provided by the additional adjustments on the front.   Cheesy Grin Wink Wink

In regards to the .44 mag being similar in size to the Evans round, it may also be slipped into the chamber for the .44xl. I wonder when looking at my collected cartridges how many guns have had much later, wholly unsuitable, ammo fit- and sometimes fire. To make it worse, how many have been deliberately rechambered to use that stuff. Oh, the agony.
