Doesn't matter . You just blew your group.
Cajunrebel is correct.  In our Club, one member would put his finger over a errant shot and say you cannot count it.
So I gave him this target. Shooter owns all the holes.

My finger covers my bad round.

Huh, at your range you're allowed to shoot while your friend points to the bullseye? Shocked. Oh, I get it, that a vintage target gauge.

And I thought all the math about bullet flight was jibberish. At least it had a point to it. This is just a way to say "he jiggles when he shoots, but just a wee bit".

The Moderators must be on vacation or they would have moved this to "Off topic chatter" a long time ago.
Like "Election 2016", silly, but entertaining.

I come up with .59995401 or 600 thousandths. The way I figured it is the bullet starts heading off the original intended course at a rate of .000083 per inch times 7200 inches = .59994401 or rounded off to .600 inches.

I am hoping Jack Hughes will chime in and share his answer and how he obtained it. I have been told it is actually quite a bit more and along the lines of what Schuetzen Bob posted but I didn't then and I still don't now understand what means and methods were being used to come up with it?

Why would it be considered off topic it is a serious shooting related question Jeff all though some maybe not taking it as such. I would also think the correct answer would be interesting to other competitors and not just myself.

Sorry, have to put in my $.02 worth.   We have to use some real numbers here.   Lets take MV = 1400 fps ( or 16800 inches/sec), bullet length 1".  The duration of time during which the 1" long bullet is exiting the barrel is 1/16800 sec.  If the muzzle moves 0.001" AS THE BULLET LEAVES the barrel, it will move that 0.001" in about 0.00006 seconds.  The rate of motion of the barrel will thus be 16.7  inches per second, and will impart that velocity of (sideways or whatever) motion to the bullet.   The time of flight over 200 yd will be about 1/2 second so the bullet will be deflected about 8 inches.  You see that the critical criterion is "as the bullet leaves the barrel".
Of course, this is not a useful piece of information, in the first place.

The maximum angular displacement only changes the point of impact a maximum of .167.  If the .001 occurs during the exiting of the muzzle, it will be .167 or less.

It is hope that it is not moved as I believe it will show the level of concentration, follow through, correct bench setup etc. required for the new fellows starting out who would like to become competitive. For those who have no interest in the subject or feel otherwise their is no need to make a mockery out of the subject just to make themselves known while also lacking any positive input. Their are plenty of other interesting subjects that might suit their needs that will give them the opportunity to share some positive input and personal knowledge in. If not they should have the freedom to start a new topic just I should have even though it might not interest me!
