I'm hoping someone here can help me with some measurements from a factory S. Sharps or C. Sharps.

I have this 45-120 rifle that I was told is built 7/8 scale and no parts from two above companies or other suppliers will interchange. This rifle weighs exactly 10 pounds & kicks like a mule it has a 32" barrel with all parts matching the serial number 4.

Can anyone verify this by these pictures.
Thanks in advance!

Dimensions from two Shiloh '74 Sharps rifles.
1st picture --1.500-1.502
2nd picture --.756
3rd picture --1.789-1.795

Yours is certainly not 7/8 scale

Thanks! I have been afraid to load at max black powder load after being told this by one of the companies I listed above so I have loaded 92gr. Of black powder with two fiber wads on top & 500 gr. Bullet seated on top. This load kicks like a mule so I can't imagine a max load in this 10 pound rifle.

I shoot 50 BMG compition rifles and one is 21 pounds and kicks 1/4 what this 45-120 kicks but it is still my go to deer rifle.

I had a similar rifle also, albeit in .45-70. It was odd-sized, metric threads and about .010 out of perpendicular on the action face to the barrel threads. It was the out-of-perpendicular that required expensive machining and case hardening that caused it to be sold.

When "Quigley Down Under" came out creating the craze for Sharps, it was sold with the understanding it was Italian made and metric threads. I saved for a year or more, then bought a Shiloh Sharps.
