That a Tip-up hidden behind the Maynard?

Yes, indeed, that is a Stevens tip-up.  To my eyes, this pair of "Indian" exhibition shooters appear to be brother and sister.  Also, as I recall, the great Annie Oakley had a publicity photo showing her with two Stevens tip-ups, a pistol and a rifle.  At the very least, one message might have been, especially back then, that Stevens guns were well regarded for their accuracy (not to take anything away from the Maynards).

And a nice Maynard it is! It looks to be an offset bore 22 caliber #16 1882.  I had seen some of those levers pictured and I wondered about them with that sharp bend and reshaped tail. I bought several of them a few years ago. They go really well with the pistol grip stocked Maynards, much better than the regular "S" lever most often seen on the #16's.
