Don't fall for this... it's a hoax!  J Louis, frankeore, Froggie, westerner, Schuetzendave, to name a few, all those we novices idolize on this forum are behind this run on the .32-40.  Those cagey old-timers have us believing a shortage is to come, AGAIN.  Remember the run on silver years ago?

These sedate seniors nonchalantly suckered us into buying these vintage or reproduction weapons, displaying beautifully rebuilt antiques, while serruptitiosly hoarding brass for them.  Those half-blind old men posted targets that made us drool, thinking we could achieve the impossible.  Telling us about this or that primer or powder; that we too could achieve the same results if we only drank the kool-aid or had a seat on their spaceship.

I'm warning you, they have built up a stash of .30-30, .32 Spc, and .38-55.  Next, they got Winchester to discontinue .32-40.   YES, they have that much influence... it's a cabal.  We would never notice because they were so sly and we would not associate the .32-40 and all the OTHER brass being slowly drained from the market.

What's next, the 25-20 Winchester, annealing and resizing seminars, or shooting range timeshares?  I bet they were behind the 22LR shortage.

Don't bother looking to Canada or Germany, it's global. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Oops, the aluminum-foil skullcap slipped off... NEVER MIND.

Pretty much, and in addition to the Gunbroker listings above, here's the one that opened my eyes

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

only 38 pieces and half of them used for $97 shipped  Shocked

I'll leave mine here for a little while longer, then it's off to greener ($$) fields of Gunbroker  Wink

I think you are right CajunRebel Smiley.  I fell for it hook, line, and sinker Smiley.

I've got a decent supply of brass though.  I haven't found the koolaid that gets me those groups yet, although after a couple of years I think I'm finally getting a handle on shooting BP well out of my CPA.

If all else fails I can fund my retirement, one piece of .32-40 or .30-40 brass at a time Smiley

I know a feller that has so many 25-20 SS, 32-40 & 38-55 he's melting them down to  make bronze statues like Charlie Russel and Fredrick Remington did.  Suppose I'd better stop him and get them on GB  Cheesy  He can use gold for the statues  Grin

Seriously, right now I would buy all the R-P 25-20 WCF brass I could at $1.00 per piece.  Roll Eyes

Guess I can always re-chamber to another .25 caliber...

Add me to the conspiracy.

I'm gloating over the bags of .32-40, .30-40, and .35 Remington that I bought during the Clinton administration.  No, not for sale.  Come to my estate auction when I die.

My luck is also in.  I Bought it Now, 115 pieces of .25-20 SS on Gunbroker a couple of weeks ago for $60, including shipping.  And it turned out to be all brand new Winchester that somebody had formed to .22-3000 Lovell and never used.  I gloat some more.   Cool
