To show that Enforcer isn't for all calibers, this is my results with it at last months match and my results with the same charge of #9 today. If the group would have been moved to the left 5/8", it would still only score a 241 4c

My conditions today were about like Jerry discribe his were, The 3/4" dot was jumping 3/4 up and 3/4 down (1.5 total) L to R mirage varied about the same but in one direction.

The Enforcer groups, were shot in much better conditions.

I don't have anything against Enforcer, I believe I was the first to report that it was in our burn range and was a ball powder. I had high hopes for in my 30/30 Wesson and last summer, I shot a 247 with it but, my groups weren't quite as good as usual @ 2.56, 5 shot and 2.85, 10 shot.

I'll try it again in one of my larger cases, in the future and would be interested in what people get with it in the 32/40.

Frank I have not had any consistency with it in my 32-40. When 300MP first came out on the market myself and Jan pooled together and bought a couple of pounds of each. The 4100 worked extremely well in his 32-20 CPA and the 300MP not quite as well. I had exactly the opposite results with my 32-40 the 300MP worked extremely well for me and the 4100 not quite so well. So I ended up with the rest of the 300MP and Jan with the 4100 and the rest is history. That is the point in time when both powders became well known and prior to that no one was using either. To add a little history to the 300MP my first lot number was number 1 and the 4100 had just been sold to Accurate Powders prior to that point in time it is was Scott 4100. At that point in time it was also noted on the Accurate Powder site that AA4100 provided the same velocity as AA-9 with less pressure. That statement has since been removed several years ago and can no longer be found. But it turned out to be thee best powder for the small capacity cases and Jan went on to shoot over 40ea. 250's in practice with his 32-20 CPA with some being shot back to back and witnessed by me. Is it the same powder today, that I can not tell you?

To just add a little clarity to the subject, Jan's results and his extraordinary small 200yd. Group as published in the ASSRA Journal and a new unofficial small group record was thee first one to make the AA-4100 known to the shooting community Frank. I believe this was long before you were aware of its extraordinary attributes for use in the small capacity cases.

I got some good results using Enforcer last weekend. I went to the range set up and shot a couple of shots into the backer using the same setting I use for 4100. I then moved to a group target at 200 yards the first 10 shot group measured 1.218” Wide X .598” High. If I hadn’t gotten caught with a shift on one shot it would have been .722 wide, but if the dog didn’t stop to pee he would have caught the rabbit. I played around a bit centering up on the golf ball and moved to the next target. The second 10 shot group measured .778” wide X .823” High and was centered nicely in the target circles. It would have scored a 250 or at worst a 249 on a score target.
I used my Borchardt with a Smith barrel chambered in  32-30 IMP. I shot a Mos bullet weighing 216 gr. cast 20:1 the primer was a Remington 71/2. The powder was dropped for each shot and a cork wad was seated .100” off the powder. The case was then oriented mouth down and given a gentle rap to settle the powder forward in the case. Then the case was chambered. The day started out mild with a light wind and a tailwind that would march up and down the range, but there was a condition that would repeat enough to shoot.

John,
I'm very confused about what your saying in the above quote. Can you explain what it means? I'm not aware of anything that I had to do with 4100 or Jan's 10 shot group.

Frank there has been allot of interest in the AA-4100 / Enforcer and I thought it would be nice to share the history of this powder and how it gained its popularity from being basically an unknown to becoming one of the most desirable for use in the small capacity cases for those who might like to know how it all came about.
Jan's success using it in his 32-20CPA was the starting point and then Jerry Hartwigs success using it in his 25WCF took it to yet another level of popularity.

There is no ill will intended towards you Frank.

Ok, I just didn't (and still don't) know why my name was used in your post.

I think that this will be my last post on new production Enforcer.

Throwing caution to the winds, I kept upping the powder charge until I got the darn stuff to group.  It finally came together at 15.4 grains behind a 211 grain bullet in a CPA .32-40.

This is very stout, and very uncomfortable load - at least for me it is.

One interesting fact is that there were no pressure signs on the primer at this load.  However, each firing tried to collapse the case mouth even with belling the mouth on each loading.

This might be a very good powder for a very small case; if I ever get out the .32-20, I'll give it a try.  It is not, in my opinion, a suitable powder for larger cases.

FWIW -  I started this game a couple of years ago emulating the .32-20CPA of JackHughs as closely as possible following the Forum and photos posted in The Journal. Staying conservative, I've not had a stuck or split case to date. Admittedly, I only load 12.8gr of 4100 and have never seen a 250. I guess I'm comfortable with consistent mid to upper 240's. I love my .32-20CPA ............. Thanks to all the help I've received from CPA and the many fellow shooters who have helped me along the way.
