primer choices for black powder

Just thought I would ask this question, I have a 40/60 CPA, a 38/56 CPA and a 45/90, also a CPA.
I have tried the following primers in the following cartridges with various degrees of success.
38/56   CCI BR2, CCI 200 LR, Federal 155 L/M pistol primers
40/60 Maynard  CCI BR2, CCI 200 LR, Fed 155 LM Pistol, Fed 210 LR, Fed GM 215 M LR.
45/90  Fed GM215M, Fed 215 LM, CCI BR2 , CCI 200 LR.

My question is, what else is out there worth trying that I have missed using in each of the above ?.  All of my loads are black powder only and average around 1.5 to 2" at 100 meters using fixed ammo.  I'm presently waiting for my Weber breech seater to be returned after having trouble with it functioning correctly on receipt.
Mike.

Mike - looking over multiple years of reloading data, this is my primer of choice & used the most...

It is the CCI BR2LR Why?
Because it creates a low brisance to deflagrate (burn at subsonic speed) the BP powder column that allows the whole column to burn at nearly the same time

There was a DMS Don't Mean Squat test done
BR2 Power Average - 4.37
GM215M Power Average - 6.12 for comparison

Am shooting only BP in a 40-65 & 38-50 and have settled on the BR2 for Schuetzen and any distance longer than 385m. Staying with CCI200 for pigs and chickens and 'fun' shoots as I have a few thousand of them.

Did some primer testing with BP between LP (Win & Rem) and LR (Fed 215M, Rem 9 1/2 & CCI200) several years ago. Everything at 600yd. Was not an exhaustive test (10rds of each) and found little difference. The LR groups were slightly smaller, so have stayed with CCI200. YMMV. Stick with what works best on the target in your rifle.

If you are shooting aperture sights from the bench then <2" @ 100m is pretty decent with BP fixed ammo.

Thanks for the reply's The CCI 200 primers have proved among the best in my 38/56 which I breech seat, my testing off the bench is done using a Lyman STS in 25 power ( I think it's 25 X ).
Two of the very best of the targets went .590" and .625" and both were shot on days with almost no wind. One of the targets was using the BR2 primers and the other was using the CCI 200.
As I have read that magnum primers are not such a hot idea I was wondering what else was out there in a pistol primer that was not a magnum.
As for aperture sights the best group I have had so far was with the 40/60 which went 1.070" for five shots at 100 meters with the four best shots going into .760", I wish I could remember what I had for breakfast that morning. Our black powder club does not allow the use of telescopic sights in the clubs competition, as I have a cataract on my right eye this is something of a disadvantage at the moment but is due for removal sometime this year. The one I had on my left eye was removed last year but it didn't restore my sight to the level I was hoping for. If they screw up my right eye that's the end of my shooting without the scope.

Mike - follow up:
Pistol Primers produce a lower brisance than LR primers.  To replicate a LP primer using LR primers for a softer brisance... they can be duplicated by simply placing one or two wads of newsprint over the flash hole before dumping in the powder charge. The .003" newsprint wad has the effect of smothering or reducing the primer flash slightly and tests have indicated the results are close to those obtained using the Pistol Primers.

Make the paper wads using a wad punch

John Boy,
Actually I do use an under primer paper wad when using the pistol primer as they are a few thou shorter that the large rifle primers and the paper under them stops the occasional non ignitions I was getting with my CPA.   The first hammer strike would leave am impression in the primer but a second hit was required to set it off.
I will try a paper disc in the case and chronograph the results, as well as using the under primer paper.
