What kind of minimum twist would this take, 1:14?

CR I have shot a similar bullet in a 15 twist without having stabilization issues. Depending on your range elevation and air density etc. it might not work out as well for you in the same twist?

There is a issue with this bullet, even if made at .323.

The nose will be to small for any of the barrel we use. If made in .323, the nose will be .310, to small for our .315 bores. If you used a newer Douglas or or other small groove barrels, .323 would be to large for the groove and the bore would still be to large for their .312 bores.

Regarding the stability in a 15 twist, I shot the Lyman 323471 in my Douglas, 32/40 barrel (.315 bore) It was stable and accurate at 2100 fps but, showed tipping at 1590 fps. The original Lyman 323471 has a .318 nose.

PS
Sometime in the April/May time frame (when you guy's replenish your funds) I'll be running a group buy on the Paul Jones 32 cal, 233 gr Spitzer. I've already talked to Al about it and he will stock the mold, after the group buy so, it will be available year round.

That will be good news!

The PJ Mold I had was A tapered Mold. But shot in my RKS  11.5 Gain Twist very well, the 230 did better. The cast bullets I have on hand shoot very well in my 32-40 15 twist as does the 320 Borten/Darr mold.
What I'm saying is this style  "Tapered" would be another i'd like to have, maybe someone has the blueprint drawing of the Paul Jones in this weight. thanks, Pete

Frank - can you give us some info on what twist will support the 233gr bullet at ~1500fps MV?
Any chance you could post a drawing of same?
Thanks.
