Martini Model 15 rear sight
Mar 14th, 2016 at 10:10am
Print Post
Just bought a Martini Model 15 in fine condition, BUT the rear sight windage knob, detent ball and spring are missing.  Looks like at some point it was broken off. Here is a link to this model of Martini that shows the PH15A sight.

I really need to get this sight or parts for it to get the gun back in the condition that it deserves to be in.  Any help or direction will be most appreciated.

George

Ebay is probably your best bet.

You could try, (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
They have been servicing target shooters at Bisley since 1895. They may have spare parts or a complete sight. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Good luck.

Google Gary Fellers in Texas. He has a good selection of used sights on hand. There is a store in port royal or front street in Virginia His wife is running the place now. C'mon guys lend a hand here. Hope at least you check out Gary Fellers. Frank

Hello Gert,
I'm afraid I haven't and with so many gun shops closing down it's difficult to find a shop in my area where the staff would even know what a 12/15 was. The URL I posted above is probably your best bet they have been in the target rifle business for 121 years. If anyone has the sight inserts they will. Good luck.

Have no idea where else parts for the M15 integral rear sight, but
Brownell's (has) advertised Lee Shaver insert sets for the PH globe front sight, 0.587" dia. I checked my FS22 PH globe from my 12/15 and it is indeed 0.587" dia.
Brownell's   Montezuma, Iowa, USA.

I purchased a set of inserts for my PH front sight some time back from Buffalo Arms. They were made by Lee Shaver and fit perfectly. The salesman was kind enough to take the dimensions I gave him and go through their inventory with a set of calipers to determine that they had and shipped the correct inserts. Give B.A. a call, they may be able to assist.

Looked at my 12/15 and the Parker Hale rear sight is a 7A if that is any help. Frank

The 15 has a differn sight  - PH7A's are omnipresent, but the model 15 sights are quite a bit rarer...

Anyone have a PH7S rear sight for sale?

Hoping this will provide the parts I need for my PH15A sight.

Surely someone has a source for repairing this sight.

Such a unique and accurate rifle.
