Navy Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator Edward C. Byers Jr. is the first living SEAL to receive the award since Vietnam.

He is from just down the road a bit.  Local news has been covering it well.
His Mom was concerned if She could be there when he received His CMH.
Ostego teacher said How amazing it was Little Eddie Byers got the medal.  The whole small town is thrilled.
It is a shame the presentation wasn't by a real leader.
