Which Winchester scope is this

Found this digging thru one of my moving boxes. I thought at first it was a A5, but now believe it is one of the ones that came on .22 bolt guns. Only marks are 5-X on the black enameled 16 1/2" tube. Front mount is stamped Winchester. Rear mount looks like this. Will this with proper mounts work on a Low Wall?

i think what you have there is the Winchester 5X, introduced for the Model 57, 67 and 69 Winchester 22's.

There is also a 2 1/2X for the same models and a 8X for the Model 75. the mounts take a wider one than Lyman, Unertl & Fecker. About .600 wide and not available but for Ebay.

The front mount should be fixed. The 8X is hindged.

They are excellent scopes, made by the Carolyn Co.

They can be used for CF rifles but, need a moveable front mount so that they are not effected by recoil.

If you install Mossburg, Walensak or Marlin mounts, it with fit standard blocks and and can be used on CF rifles.
