Got ya, Mike.

Joe, I haven't got word yet, as how it will be marked but, I'm guessing it will be NOE 319323, sufix A, B or C.

We could maybe get him to put Ideal on it, I don't know.

The only problem, as I see it, to have different sizes in the same mold, is you would have to edit the program before running the different combo's. It's it's simple but, time consuming, because you have to break your stride to edit and make sure the right combo is being run and mistakes could be made.

Was wondering if you had a name picked out.

Think you have a record number for group mold buys, you think?

I hadn't really though about the name, other than 319323.

Yes, I was very suprised to get this many buyers, this fast. I've always like this bullet and I guess, many more do, too Smiley

Another point regarding multiple sizes in the same blocks. You would machine them at the end of the run but, it would take twice as long to do that way, with the edit, run, edit run cycle.

Am guessing he will just be copying the first program (program B) and will label it A after making the adjustments and then the same for C. For running the B/C blocks it will be simple enough to select B for the first hole and C for the second. At least that is way our Mazak machines work.

You think you are surprised?  If I'd known how big a deal this was going to be I would have done it a long time ago and gotten a piece of the action to boot!  Smiley
Seriously, I am surprised to see the interest too, but I'm glad I got to play a small part in a project of such obvious popularity.

Regards,
Froggie

Sure hope NOE is giving you a commission on this for all the leg-work you've done for him. Am guessing it is very rare that he gets to run 30+ of any mold, which makes his set-up time almost nil.

Surprisingly enough, a lot of the pistol/revolver bullet group buys to the well known mould makers like NOE, MP, etc run into the dozens.  They don't seem to LIKE to make fewer than a dozen or so, but sometimes a particular design seems to just grab the attention of the market and voila!  Big order!

Well, has anyone heard anything yet?  I'm guessing people will start getting moulds within another week or so, but it depends on how quickly the cherry arrives and the job gets scheduled into the queue.

Froggie,
It hasn't been 1 month yet. On the 8th, I posted that I had talked to Al:

Quote:
I just talked to Al at NOE and he said that we could have it in 2 months or less.

I'll give him a call about the 8th of March and see where he's at.

It does seem like a long time when your waiting for something special Smiley
