Engraved 922 action, buttstock, Swiss buttplate.  No barrel, no forearm. 

Dead ringer for the catalog cut shown on Page 39 of Carder's book.

Seller doesn't know what it is.  Has it listed as an 822.

I would nail this myself, but I've got way too many projects as it is.

Rare as frog fur, too.  In a good many years of following H&A, trolling gun shows, watching the auction sites, etc.,  I've never seen one before.

According the the cattledogs, it was fitted with a 26" octagon barrel, gain twist.

Yeah really neat project. Wish the stock was in better shape. The checkering looks pretty bad and maybe was sanded. The action looks complete save the barrel screw. Hard to know if butt stock will be salvageable. May turn out to just be an action.
