	That does work well! He doesn't explain it well....I would use a real target with an actual spot to hold your cross hairs. You have to be sure and hold your rifle after the first shot in exactly the same spot you sighted at during that first shot...and while holding it there....adjust your elevation and windage (Cross Hairs) to the spot you hit. 	I'm continually bemused trying to convince novice (and not so novice) shooters at our 25-yd sight-in bay to move their cross-hairs to the hit, and not burn up a box of ammo walking rounds in. Worse is trying to make them understand that each 1/4" click at 100 translate to 14 at 25 - literally blows their minds.

	If you scope is marked for 1/4" clicks at one hundred yards, it will take 16 clicks to get it to move one inch on the target at 25 yards.

	Welllll! Gotta comment. I don't use any ammo. My shop is a third car garage. I simply put the rifle in my shop vise open the breech, open the garage door, look through the bore at some dot or anything with an intersection 25 or 50 yards away, center that dot in the bore moving the rifle in the vise and adjust the cross hairs to the center that dot or intersection. Works for me. When you get to the range you will be surprised at how close to zero it will be. Don G

	My Man/Gun room is upstairs, I set my rest on a desk, bore sight on the neighbors roof vent approx 150yds away then set dot on the vent. On paper every time at the range.

	Looking down the bore...aka Bore sighting works Great to get on paper or close...but, the procedure above is after your on paper... It's used to fine tune your hits....... Terry

	Shove180 Terry I agree with your logic. I was just suggesting a way to save some ammo. I remember years ago that at times I found it difficult to get that first hit on "Paper" at 150-200 yards. Don G

	Am I stupid I just fit my collimator and there you are all done before firing a shot and I believe more reliable than bore sighting.
