Think this was discussed in a thread a long time back, and that Podufa generously supplied some sample bullets.

Tapered? I bet it's a two diameter bullet.

Up-scaled 319-289? Podufa?

? Kinda long, isn't it?

It seems to be the .376 groove version of the 272

The 375300 is the cousin of the 375200
Here's the 319289 - different width driving bands

The 375300 looks like it might be a good bullet for the 9.5x47R Schuetzen with a 378 groove

JB,
My picture of the 375200, looks more like that 375355, only longer.

How can I get my hands on some of the old Ideal moulds.  I know accurate can make them but I don't know the dimensions, but I'd love to try 375296 in my 38-72.

Frank, the 375355 is not even close to the 375300, weight, bands and band widths  ...
(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)  ... 375355 - 238gr

Eric, finding these scarce Ideal molds for sale is tough.  Best source is to watch ebay but they show up for sale infrequently.  Alternative option - a WTB in the classifieds

If you'll PM your address, I'll put a few in the mail to you.  Try them and if happy ... save one of the bullets.  Then either a NOE group buy on Cast Boolits or have Accurate cut the mold.  If Swede Nelson can cut the mold with a 0.1470 metplat - it would be an exact clone

Out of the same Cast Bullet Handbook, this is the picture of the 375200.

Ballards may be weaker,

Since Tom will make the mold whatever diameter a customer wants, it could easily be built to your custom band size. So it could be stepped as designed, or even all one size if that fits your needs.
I was looking at it for my Husqvarna Type 33A Rolling Block, as I need a .368 bullet for the 9.3 cartridge. But I figured Tom could make it the .368" the full length, as I shoot fixed ammo in it.

Vall - take a look at the Accurate clone of the Ideal 375166
(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
With a vernier, less that 100 & 200 MOA with 42gr of KIK - Swiss & Cartridge
(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
I also shot 50 consecutive rounds from 500-200m with the bullet, slight adjustment in my sight settings with accuracy... with no tubing or patching.
One water cotton ball and 3 dry - here's the results of the bore

I don't see that 375166 in Tom's catalog? And if you mean the Lyman 375166, then it's too large for my 9.3 Husky's bore. I prefer shooting as cast, and need the smaller diameter.

Way too heavy for my Husky's twist rate.
