I have checked the action, and it is not hardened, so was wondering instead of having it case hardened can I have it metalife plated ?

My Meacham Hoch does not have a side plate on the breach block and the trigger system is completely different , is this a later dsesign ?

I seem to recall hearing of a shooter down in Texas - I believe it may have been Dan Kernaghan - who was making a breechblock with different triggers.  Are yours double sets by any chance?

Early design. 

Russ Weber knows all about the Hoch actions and history. Think he told me he knew the builder/designer. Hoch?  Somebody should write this stuff down. 

Wait a minute. Meacham Hoch without a side plate?  Never heard of that. Meacham sold an old action?

Rifle has a single trigger. Has been chambered in 22 rimfire.
