Unless one has marginal chamber wall thickness breech thrust is the critical issue.

OK, thanks for the info on the origin of the Quarter Bore.  I always look to make the matches as inclusive as possible.  The odds of getting to Etna Green are slim    When we go east, too many gun grabbing states to pass through
