Not posted,,John Louis and I shot Re-entry Targets during the
Quarter Bore Match..I don't know what John shot, but I got lucky and shot a 250 Target.

Great shooting Terry. Second 250 this year.

The more ballistic research I do convinces me all the more Schoyen, Pope and Peterson had it right over 100 years ago.

Congrats on the 250!  Why don't they post it  in the results?

No luck about your shooting Terry. You've come a long way in a very short time.

I have no idea why Terry's score/target wasn't posted, except maybe it fell through the cracks because it was a re-entry and he took it home with him.

Mighty fine shooting by a guy who has been into this for such a short time. Less than a year with your 33-47 CPA, right?

I remember asking him (a PM on the forum) if he had ever been to/seen a Schuetzen match................ He showed up at Modesto and, well, you can see what has happened.

Thanks Jerry...You've been a lot of help for me!

I took delivery of my CPA right before Thanksgiving last year.
The Matches I shot last year were with a personal Rifle that my Friend Barry Darr let me use.

Yes, Jerry Invited me to my first Schuetzen Match!

Thanks Again,
Jerry!
Having a Blast, Terry

I should have waited until 250s were common to start  Cheesy

I remember when I first started I shot a 248.  I asked Tommy Mason who was shooting near me how many he had shot?  He just shook his head no.  I commented that this is better than I think? He just nodded.

I'm wondering why they are becoming more common in traditionally styled stocks and actions? Your CPA fits that description does it not?

Is your forearm wider for bench or totally traditional? I shoot .33-47, Unertl 20x, Ballard with 3" long prongs which are a bit of a handicap on the bench especially at Spokane shooting 6 or 7 degrees up hill. I made a 2 3/4" forearm to even the score a little bit. (Pun intended as always  Grin)

My forearm is traditional...I'm using a barrel sled..

Do you just let it set losely or hold pressure into it against a solid pin?

it is really great to see the Modesto results and the good scores from some really great shooters. i hope i can make the regional this year as i plan to.
i have moved to las vegas,(dont ask) and need to find all my shooting gear. it must be somewhere in the garage in a box.
Congratulations to Jerry and Terry, and you won't find two finer gentlemen to shoot with and are so willing to help if needed! Smiley          Dave
