Hello,
I have been searching for a one-piece stock for a J.Stevens model 14 "Little Scout" rifle. This stock is unlike the model 14 1/2 that is a 2-piece take down. I have been told that a stock from the J. Stevens model 65 "little Krag" would fit this model 14. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Also, does anyone know where I can find a one-piece stock for a model 14, or one that I could rent long enough for a stockmaker to use as a pattern? I am enclosing a picture of the barrel and action for the rifle I am referring to.
