Several readers of this forum have responded to my comment about there being no 30-40 Krag brass available for forming into 38-50 Rem. Your offers to share your personal supply of brass with me is truly appreciated. You all have my heart-felt thanks.
Honest guys, I wasn't fishing for brass as I had just ordered some 405 Win from which to make 38-50 Rem. It's a more complicated task than making them form 30-40's as you know. Those 30-40 cases will certainly lessen my case making task.
My immediate requirement to get my heavy Ballard bench rifle shooting should now be satisfied and you will be seeing my results posted on this forum as I progress with getting that Ballard to shoot.
Thank you all again for you willingness to help. This day has been a most gratifying experience.

The wood on the stainless slugun is curly maple stained pretty dark. In person it is light enough to see the stripes.
