	Thinking of changing. Shooting 40 and 45 cals. What seems to be the general consensus today. I want commercially available. Thanks for any input. Cary

	Never had a problem with SPG and shot over 3000rds this past season. DGL is also recommended and seems to have a higher melting point, so good if you are shooting in the high temp/low humidity regions.

	Contact Frank at providence tool/ peabody rifle. have used his lube on my 40-65 as well as my Peregrine in 32 MS. does not melt off in high temps of the Raton or hard in the cool weather of Wisconsin. all natural incredents. look it up on Rovidence tool co. web site just a happy shooters opinion Bill

	Been using DGL. 90+ temps, low humidity, been fouling out while blowtubing. Don't want to go to wiping, but at higher temps and lower humidified, it may become a necessity.

	That was my old lube, Dave. My current lube has four ingredients. Only Bob Tyler and myself know the secret ingredients. Bob signed a ceremonial email oath to never let the cat out of the bag. After looking at the high scores Bob posted in recent matches he must be using it. It's secret. Joe.

	My lube is also 4 parts and anyone that reads this, is bound by oath, to never disclose it It's equal parts of: Beeswax Crisco Paraffin Vasoline Back in the old'n days (90's), I tested it against Darr, Emmert and others (SPG wasn't born yet and I didn't test Smilley) and got these results, shot in matches:

When shooting the SE Regional (in GA) in the bright sun (only 75F) our barrels were so hot after 14rds that we had to be careful to pick up the rifle by the forearm to move it off the line. We found that we needed two (2) wet patches to stop 'fouling out'. Blow tubers found they did not have enough breathe if they were in the sun. Unfortunately, DanT's 'white lightening' lube formula went to the grave with him, may he RIP.

	I've got some of that lube Dave "Alberta Schutzen" but have yet to try it. I also used to use white lighting some years ago and it work good. Started using DGL when I won some and have continued until today. I am just trying to see if there is a good/better lube that WILL work tubing in the higher temps. Lost some tough matches this year on 1 bank due to the 'foul out'. I guess I should try some SPG,,,ouch! Anyone ever added SCO to their lube? Thanks for all of the input. Cary
