Tried some match swaged bullets by Bennett today in my CPA 32-40 bench rifle . One caveat before I start. My home range here in Western PA sits on a hill and  always has lots of wind . Today the wind was coming out of the West at 15-20 mph, sunny 70 degrees . The bullets come packed 50 to a box packed in a foam holder . .32 caliber rifle / .321" diameter tapered bullet competition grade ( +/- .1 gr ) is typed on the box side . Weights varied from 200.1- 200.3. However the bullets have been lubed . Bullets are lubed with A-Lox for smokeless powder . The bullet blanks are knurled and then the lube is applied . The entire bearing surface is therefore lubed . Used Winchester 32-40 cases with IMR 4227 @ 14.2 grs. 
Used a German 25 ring Schuetzen target at 200 yards . I only shot about 35 rounds today and the target you see is the best I could do . Again winds were gusting at 15-20 mph to be fare . The bullets all appeared to be flawless with razor sharp base edges . Breech seated very well . I only experimented with two different seating depths as I currently only use plugged cases . I think with some powder changes and seating depth changes I could do much better . Although I will not be ordering these bullets again because the cost is prohibitive for me 20.00$ for the bullets and 6.00$ for shipping , 50 bullets are supplied . Those with deeper pockets have at it . Swaged bullets have peaked my interest. One could purchase dies and a press and swaged their own, however the lead wire needed and costs again are prohibitive . I think if you could find a mold that would allow you to cast your own lead wire that would greatly reduce costs. You would not need spools of wire just cast 2-3" pieces in a mold ? Any comments on that ?  Also Mr. Bennett works on the honor system, he sends you his bullets and you send him a check . Thanks

I'm not a fan of these bullets BUT, you have to keep in mind that, as I recall, they hold the current 100 yard, small group record.

100 yard small group is still tough shooting, it is all relative. Tell the 50 meter 22 shooters thats to easy see what they tell you. 

I'm thoroughly impressed with a .141 group in even the finest kind of rifle shooting jacketed. To do it with a lead slug is doubly impressive. I'm not even flirting with groups of quarter size too often- and under three quarters keeps me smiling. Carry on.

Brudford:    Bennett bullets will shoot much better than the target you show, at any range.  Have you sluged your Bore and determined that the bullets fit correctly? 

The reason Paul Schuttleworth suggested these bullets is that he shoots them at both ranges.  Much has been made of Paul having "onty" a 100 yard home range. In fact Paul and Gail shoot at various NY ranges, in competition, and do very well.

Making a good target with bullets one has personally cast is very satisfying.  Not everyone has the desire, time, or equipment to do so. Bennetts provide a known high quality standard for comparison, so long as dia. is correct.  Bennetts I have are labled .322 and mike same.
