	Last trip to the range I was experimenting with a Martini chambered for 9.3x53 Swiss. The loads were BL-C 2, 220 gr lead, lubed with Lee liq alox. I was careful to keep the cartridges upright from the time they were loaded a month ago until firing. First 6 rounds 3 duds 2 hang fires. Any ideas? Thanks Mike

	What primer are you using? Any signs of unburned powder in the bore afterwards? Was the humidity high in the area you reload?

	Be careful to make sure the bore is clear when shooting that stuff. A friend blew up a Sharps shooting squib loads.

	I used Remington large rifle, and yes there was unburned powder. Is BL-C 2 hard to ignite? Mike

	You don't tell us what the load is, but I'd say that BLC-2 is too slow for the application, if you are loading for plain base pressure. It doesn't really wake up until it's above the 30k+ psi range, and a plain base load is more like half that. Can't be sure about your duds, but I'd be unsurprised by squibs.

	I was loading 35 gr BL-C 2, 220 gr plain base lead RN, cast 25-1, Remington large rifle. The case is close in size to 358 Win. I made the brass from 7.5 Schmidt Rubin. Thanks Mike

	I've the same issue using lighter/reduced loads of WC846. A mag primer might help, but a different powder is the answer.

	I love BLC2 and H335, which are very similar in burn rates. Use them both in the .30-30, .32 Win Spl, and .22-250 for years. The load of 35 grs. seems pretty stout, but that depends on the gun you're shooting it in, and how full the case is. Looking at the 9.3x53 Swiss, it might need a powder that fills the case better, but still doesn't exceed the pressure for the action you have. The 9.3x53 is a fairly large case for BLC2 to work well in.

	Fwiw I had dud issues with my cast in '06 cases , those disappeared after I started cleaning primer pockets every time. Check that and primer depths.
