	Can I get a new accurate chronograph for $100 ? Has to digest black powder loads.

	I've also been using the competition electronics..."Pro Chrono" with NO Issues for about 5 years with black and smokeless..I believe I paid about 120.00 back then. Terry

	I've never owned one. What distance is your target and how far from the muzzle do you set the chronograph? How do you interpet the MV at different distances? Back in the 70s & 80s the prices were out of reach.

	Doesn't matter what distance the target is set at. I set the chronograph I have about 5 paces out from the bench...Maybe 15 feet?....I've only used it for "Muzzle Velocity"...Not way down the line someplace. Terry

	Don't know if they still sell them but Chrony used to sell a set of Lexan shields to protect the face of the instrument.

	Ditto on the gas checks, put one through the face of my Pro Chrono, sent it back to get fixed and when I got it back first thing I did was make a plastic cover for it and haven't hit it sense.

	Having seen a number of Chrony's with holes in them, I'm going to put a piece of armor plate (sloped of course) in front of mine.

	My Chrony has survived for quite a few years. I only rarely shoot smokeless over it, but use it often for black powder load development. Mine has the remote control/display box that has long wires going to the actual unit. If I don't run the unit as far as the wires will allow, I will get erroneous readings with BP. Mine also dislikes temperatures near freezing. Chris.
