	I'm pleased to report another good experience with Schuetzendave's pipe insulation wads. I have a 1977 Barry Darr-built FBW in .32-40. There is no telling how many owners the rifle has had over the years but the barrel is in pretty rough shape. It's always required frequent cleaning and has always suffered from light to moderate leading. Recently, the leading has become more severe even though the bullets, alloy, and powder charge remain the same. This morning, I loaded as normal but included pipe insulation wads in the case mouth. The wads are cut with a .38 caliber punch and are typically 3/8" long. I left about 1/8" of wad exposed; just enough to touch the bullet base on loading the case. What a treat! The wads eliminated about 90% of the usual leading and actually made clean-up a bit quicker. As an added bonus, good luck sat on my shoulder and bestowed a very satisfactory iron sight target. Those pipe insulation wads are pretty slick - and easy to make. However, while Alberta Schuetzen Lube is certainly slick, it's a whole lot more work to make. Duane Jenner gave me a copy of the Ross McDonald instruction sheet many years ago. Every now and again I get it out, look it over, and promptly put it back in the files. Jan

	Having not tried this, can someone post a picture and brand of pipe insulation used. I assume it is a tape roll type?

	Dave, I cut wads with a punch and a die, in a arbor press. When I cut the pipe insulation, I had a lot of trouble holding the stuff out flat to work with it and the wads came out very uneven. Do you pin it down on a board, before punching them out? Frank

Maybe I'll try some PE. JackHughs

	Thanks, Jack & Bob. From your info I can get the MSDS and KNOW what's in it and what similar products are available.
