	I THOUGHT they meant "Commonwealth Military Forces" "New South Wales) and month/year of issue. But B.A. gets to make the call!

	CMF = Citizen Military Forces, these were issued to school Cadet units. Some were used for the home guard during WW2 and I have one example of a rare WW2 bayonet that was made for the Cadet rifle, (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links) Been collecting Martinis for a few years, out of 11 Cadets only one has the oversize bore (.321) and requires a heeled bullet! 	Bad Ass Wallace, thank you for your info. I live in Hervey Bay and have dealt with Brian, fortunately my BSA Martinis are original with numbers matching and what appears to be a proof mark followed by 310 12 120 on the rhs of the barrels. Will now look to getting a mould of .316 non-heeled. Thanks again, David A.

	If I were you, I'd go for the original , heeled bullet - that's what it was made for. And what shoots lights out in mine - and is easiest to reload: Just decap the fired case, reseat primer, load powder charge, seat lubet bullet. Done. No need for resizing, flaring,... Best with LLA, as it is a bit sticky, which will keep the bullet in the case

	I have not come across a cadet rifle that did not need the original heeled bullet. There are about a dozen in use in our club, The only variation is that some do not require the case rims thinned down. Fred

	Martinibelgian, your suggestion goes against the advice of BadAssWallace, so I wonder (as an Aussie) who's I should take , or perhaps , see what shoots best (obviously the ultimate test) and more fun. Thanks for your input, David A.

	I agree with MB and Fred my experience with 2 cadets both original barrel and and at least a dozen others in use in my Club all shoot heeled bullets very very well. Plain bullets are a No for us. I am sure that we all await the result of your test with baited breath. Good shooting TJ.

	I disagree with what has been said about Cadet rifle barrel and .310 bullets. The matching numbers on the receiver and barrel are the serial number applied by the manufacturer. The number under the serial number, on the receiver, is a rack number applied by the states after receiving the rifles. This number will also be on the stock. The .310 round was developed by Greener and was a heeled bullet.Look in any of the early catalogs and this can be seen in the pictures.

	Bad Ass Wallace knows a lot more than my-self but it is my belief that the CMF stands for Citizens Military Force ( we called them weekend warriors, the British called them Territorials) and the nos. below are the month and year of issue, remember we do it logically here in Australia and put the month first followed by the year, as we would say here "am having a bit of a dig" (joke) at the US system of putting the month then the day system, keep the feedback coming please, regards, David A.
