New CPA at the range

My new CPA 32-40 . Just finished the stock and saved a little money .Has the Douglas barrel . Weaver T-series 24x scope . Hoch 200 gr. mold . This is my target at 200 yards with a 4 shot group . Using old unknown alloy that I bought years ago for .16 cents / lb. I think I can get the accuracy even better with some true 20:1 mixed alloy . I have always had just factory rifles never a custom rifle . The accuracy is unbelievable with just plain based lead bullet . Using 13.0 grs/ IMR 4227 powder to start .

Great looking first day! It can only get better from there, what lube and primer?

Were using a plugged case to seat the bullets I didn't see a seater or powder measure on your bench. I didn't see a re&de capper either so is it safe to assume you primed and added the powder at home? Nothing wrong with doing so just curious. I know you already know its not good to have your bullets banging around on top of each other. The empty 9MM foam blocks are a good choice the Plastic MTM's tend to get hot and pre-melt the lube. If you are comfortable with doing so you can up the powder charge into the 14+gr. range safely to see if it likes a tad more velocity.

Congratulations on the new rifle!

Nice looking rig. You made a great choice going with the CPA.

There's nothing like having your own custom rifle. Your only regret will be not having done it sooner.

J Louis this site would only let me download 4 photos of this size , go down to the next post ," Me at the range " and yes I'am priming and putting powder to the cases at home . You will also see my bullet seater of  my own design . What you cannot see in the photo is the underside of my seater is completely milled flat as not to rub on the hammer spur . Also I cut out part of the rim for clearance from the extractor .

Either a #4 or  #5 barrel ? Bench style wide forearm. Could not bring myself to put on that ugly bench club of a stock. Went with the sporting stock . Very heavy rifle .
