For my center fire rifles I use a Burris Signature 6-24X or a Burris Signature 8-32X with a custom fitted fine cross hair with a 1/8 minute dot overlaying the crosshair intersection.

The old Burris Signature series have 1/8 MOA adjustment target knobs and a twilight aperture which I open on dull days for a crisper sight picture.

I have a Weaver T36X and I like the magnification but it really lacks in clarity.

I also have Bauch & Lombe 6-24X and 8-32X scopes but the cross hairs are too coarse and the clarity and sharpness is not as good as the Burris. But much better clarity than the Weaver. I use them on my rimfire rifles.

Apart from the God-knows-what-it-is 1X 'scope I have a rubbish one of about 4 : 1 and a rather better Parker-Hale Gold, 7 : 1 lump.

I use the Parker-Hale on an Air Arms S310 (precharged ·22" air rifle) - but only because it fits, and I sometimes plug rats, squirrels and pigeons in poor light. The 'scope cost a lot more than the rifle...

The quality is so I can use it on a P14 ·303" stalking rifle.

It is harder to pull the trigger w/the 20X often times trying too hard to get the shot off causing bad breaks. <snip>

May I be pedantic here (well, I hope it's pedanticism...)?

Triggers should be squeezed, not pulled. The results are so much better.
