Haven't shot much PP, but I never crimped them. I read that a crimp will strip the patch off when fired, so I simply set my dies to make a close the slight bell, and not crimp the bullet.

None is the correct answer - if yoy are shooting a repeater, the word is 'neck tension'.

On my 45-110 I just barely size till the PP bullet goes in the case,never crimp!

Hank, best crimp for PP is none, and you do want your case mouth to have a nice chamfer and to be burr free. If you must put a crimp on your case mouth so you can take your loads to the field  as in hunting a slight taper crimp would be what you would want, just crimp enough to hold your bullets in place so they don't fall out. You really don't want to put enough crimp on them that they dig into the paper or bullet.
