On another forum I've seen. I think the rule they use is: if you take something, You put something up in return..

Hi,
I'm relatively new to this forum and would like to express my gratitude for all the help I've been given.

I did notice that someone at the "switch" had the audacity to take down the most recent car discussion thread containing your cars, and Marlin Guy's "Mouse Trap" and Ford drag car from the 1960's and 70's.  That was a most enjoyable discussion of American history and in my opinion, was worthy to have been left to remain as a very valid representation of a piece of "American Pie".

Thanks Rebel !

I find it odd that a topic in the OT section somehow gets deleted randomly. Considering how many topics there have nothing to do with single shots, I am perplexed when someone at the switch decides a certain topic needs to be culled?

I think some of you are missing the point of paying forward! It is an act of kindness with no expectation of recieving anything in return. It also has nothing to do with paying ones way through life or the present state of human nature. It is a simple act of giving with hopes ( not mandatory ) that those who recieve would find it in their hearts to do the same for others. If a recipient has to pay for shipping charges it is no longer an act of kindness / paying forward and for those who have items with stipulations attached they simply belong in the for sale or trade section and not here!

It seems I have somehow, unintentionally, alienated someone I have a lot of respect for.
Clearly on retrospect, this wasn't a good idea.
