Holy, that thing is beautiful! It's a shame that the craftsman of such a fine piece of work has left us.

You and I have a different idea of beauty. What a waste of a nice piece of lumber and a lot of a good engraver’s time. To me this looks like Harlo Parkenfarker’s more meticulous cousins work. It is a well-done mongrel with one foot in the single shot world and one in the I got more testrone that since world. All in all an expensive exercise in hold my beer and watch me shoot this.

Although I'm not a fan of the usual .50BMG rifles I see; this is one I'd have no problem owning! I can easily look past the type of rifle it is, and appreciate the quality of workmanship here to make it something beautiful to look at.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.  I'm with 40Rod on that one Smiley

If it had been mass-produced during the "golden age" of single-shots, you'ld probably see a few residing in some ASSRA members gun safes.   Wink

Hey Lumpy Grits,

I was jokingly referring to the large bore (class 2) matches the ASSRA holds for .40cal+ not Class III NFA Weapons / Title II Firearms.

I'd like to see it and actually see how it works.  I wonder where it is now? I think of it as an exercise in creative craftsmanship------most of the /50 BMG rifles leave me pretty cold-  but that is an interesting rifle.  But no ASSRA matches for that design-----thumbhole stocks not allowed.  (and shooting cast bullets in a 50 BMG would make for some interesting reloading development)
