Howdy gents, Although a brand spanking new guy here, I've been a gunsmith and competition shooter for nearly 40 years, so beg your pardon for butting in, if this is out of place. I am also old school to the point I do not clean rimfires any more than is absolutely necessary, which unfortunately is not an interval cast in stone. In my experience, different rifles, especially rimfires, need cleaning intervals and methods peculiar to that particular barrel. Throw in the wild card of ammo choice and how that barrel does with that particular ammo or lot and there seems to be no set round count or procedure that will cover all without overdoing things on some. However, with that said, I always clean the breech face, the breech end of the barrel, chamber wall, rim groove, extractor notch, and crown after every outing with solvent and a cotton swab. On days when a lot of ammo is fired, I may touch those things up a bit if I see accuracy falling off. I can't really say if it's the light cleaning procedure or the break I take between rounds but it often tightens my groups back up. Well, if you can call those fallout patterns groups. Once in a while, they actually look like they're kinda friendly. Nice place ya got here. Hayface
