Mike the CPA workings are really quite simple and you should be able to sort it out by studying it for awile. There is also a flat spring that provides tension on the back trigger that can be adjusted by simply adjusting the retaining screw of which puts the spring in compression. If the rear trigger is hard setting simply back out the screw a tad and vise versa if to soft. I can tighten my hammer spring tension to the point I have to use two thumbs to pull the hammer back. I have seen several springs all with slightly different curvetures some less others more. If yours happens to be the latter a sightly longer allen head set screw from your local harware store can provide you with more tension on the spring.

Check the firing pin feel by pushing it in with the hammer.  If it is draggy feeling that can be fixed by polishing the bottom of the rear end of the pin, where it slides through the breach block. Also check the holes in the breach block that contain the firing pin.  They may need to have some burrs and sharp edges removed.  I broke the firing pin in my CPA and the new one Gail sent was a bit tight but the polishing fixed it right up.  The broken firing pin was entirely my fault as I told Gail but she replaced it for free.  Good people!  By the way, a good way to break the pin is to breach seat a bullet with a dome headed plug type breach seater.  Simply seat a bullet, remove the breach seater, become distracted, reinsert the breach seater rather that a charged cartridge, and attempt to send a round down range.  It works, I know.
