Thanks everybody, that was all interesting to learn about.
I have a cartridge adapter for a .30-40 Krag that uses blank .32 cartridges to shoot a light lead bullet loaded into the adapter by hand. I've shot a dozen or so of the hundred plus that I have. This was a kit with loads and adapter. It unscrews and has a firing pin that the regular firing pin hits and transfers to the blank, thus shooting the slug. I "inherited" a bunch of these some years ago. My highwall in incredibly inaccurate with this setup, but it was fun to try it out. I didn't add any lube to the bullets, nor clean any jacket fouling from the bore. Groups were about hand-size at twenty five yards. Now, it's just an oddity in my collection of strange cartridges. Maybe I'll go see if that roller might be available and check with Dixie.  Pat
