I've seen these rimfire resurections talked about here and other places as well. Something nobody has mentioned, that I've seen, is whether these leak gas from the hole where the .22 "primer" is located? It seems that unless it's so dang tight that the rimfire's primer would go off or the case crush, that the fit would assume the nature of a worn primer pocket in a normal case. Would someone please explain what I must be missing on these conversions? Pat
I've tried them for .44 rf, .38 rf, and .32 rf. and not had any leakage with any of them. The rim of the .22 blank fits into a recess cut into the turned cases on the ones I got, so when chambered, and the breech closed, it creates a good seal. I'm uncertain how one in .25 works, as I haven't seen an adapter for that caliber.
The issue that made me give up on all the others was removing the blank from the adapter case after firing. They open up, and expand inside the adapter, and it requires punching them out, which can sometimes be a chore. Then push in a new blank, pour a charge, and seat a new projectile. Just wasn't much fun for me, and I tossed them in a drawer.
