Just came home fro mthe range, shot 10 rounds from a cold, clean barrel at the 75m target - same load, same positon:
R-P cases and primers (pulled the bullets and dumped the powder from factory rounds)
16.7gr Swiss 1 1/2Fg
151gr 16:1 GG bullet of my own design
Card overpowder wad
Whatever compression needed to have the breechblock seat the round the last bit into the rifling
The rifle is a BSA 12/15 Martini action, converted to CF and rebarreled with a .308 barrel. Original sights being used (PH7A rear), aperture front
Between shots, half a breath down the tube followed by a single dry patch.
Probably my best target up to now - about 1 inch vertical, and 1.5 inch horizontal, this for 10 shots prone, with sling, no support. And that includes a called flier...
I think I have a new 100m BP match rifle!
