A not so funny happening at the show today

At our little podunk show in Vancouver today I asked the table holder if I could examine a .22 Stevens low wall with a Fecker scope.  "May I open the action?" sez I;  "Of course"  Yup, out popped a live .22 Stinger.  Damn fool was lucky no one decided to try the trigger before clearing the action.  And why it was not tied is beyond me.  Always be vigilant, folks!!

Was that at the square dance hall? We've had a close call at an OAC show many years ago, where a guy found out his handgun was loaded, and then decided he better unload it. Problem was he should have gone outside when he made the discovery. He accidentally discharged it while trying to make it safe! Luckily nobody was hit, as he pointed it at the floor, and he was lucky!

Haven't been over to it in years. I was a member from way back when it was at the American Legion Hall at Salmon Creek, and later at the dance hall also. Used to set up every month, but at one point it seemed to almost die, and some members were actually discussing having out of state members pay higher table rent. I got a little disgusted and left about the time Chuck died.
