It is a fact, that in warm weather, gray and blue eyes make better shooting than dark eyes.  In pronounced cold weather the difference is not marked, still very few dark eyed men have achieved success as marksmen.  All members of the American teams have been light-eyed men.

Since it's an exercise in futility, I guess I'll just sell off all my guns and associated junk and take up sky diving. Cry

How was the determination made?

I guess we will have to add eye colour to the top 50 shot scorers list.

I have dark brown eyes. But I am not American.
I am Canadian.

If you read the book carefully you can see how he made the determination.  It was based on nearly zero data and is quite funny.   I'm ok with it though as I have blue grey eyes so enjoy the advantage Smiley.

The book is otherwise quite excellent though.  I bought it after Kenny Wasserburger wrote about it.  It's one of the most interesting shooting books I have.

Chris.

My eyes are mostly dark green with some brown!

I knew it wasn't me making bad scores but mine eyes!

As such us dark eyed folk should be receiving a handicap! It is a fact after all!

Holy shenanigans.......

I imagine the majority of the shooting society at times were blue eyed.

So I guess it means that if you have blue or grey eyes and get losing scores, there's no excuse... you just suck.    Grin

Crap! Now I have one less excuse for poor shooting! All this time I thought it was my blue eyes!
