Rolling Block on ASSRA Homepage

Does anybody know the history and data on that beautiful Remington Rolling Block rifle on the ASSRA home page.  It appears to be a No.1 action.  Are there any more photos of the rifle?  I would like to see the complete rifle.

I hope the owner will post photos of it for all to enjoy.  I would like to buy a back copy of the journal it appeared in or a reprint.

Having an index from Byron Goff is a handy thing. The rifle is on the cover of Volume 56 Issue 6 and there is an article and more pictures starting on page 30. The cover description is a Remington Long Range in 44-77 it is thought to be a Remington factory sample because of its deluxe engraving.

I love Rolling Blocks, regardless of how ornate they are. But even those who aren't fans, or don't find them appealing, would appreciate that one!

It boggles my mind how anyone could dislike a rolling block. The simple genius of the gun has to be admired.
