Have a Lyman (103?) and Marbles tang sight. Am wondering if they would be good for CLA silhouette shooting? Thanks.

With one exception all my cowboy silhouette rifles, both lever and single shot, have modern Marble tang sights. Windage adjustment is a must in my book and I prefer the click to set elevation adjustments over the lock with turning lock ring kind for ease of setting and repeatability. The exception is a Lyman 103 on a Stevens RF.

My short answer to the original question is "yes", depending on how good you want the tang sight to be.

They will work, and I agree with oneatatime.

I've tried that type of tang sight for lever silhouette, and they don't provide the precision and ease of use that  I want.  I use Redfield 75s on two of my rifles, and a short staff Hoke on another.  The Hoke is really nice, but possibly overkill for the purpose. The vernier scale is very nice and positive to use.

I also made a special digital depth gauge for my Redfields.   It's nice to be able to verify the exact setting.
