Myself, I prefer a nice Bubba Keg full of iced fruit juicy red.  Very satisfying.

If I'd seen them sooner I'd have bought a couple lottery tickets

I prefer Widmere Hefeweizen or a Hammerhead Stout.

Joe
Next time you and the Frau are local we must get together and have some German food and beer.  My better half is from Bamberg Germany.  That is in the Franconian district beer wise and I can say the beer there is without fault.  Still many small town breweries with the most excellent beer AND food (wine from the area is great too).  Bamberg is also well known world wide for it's 'rauch' (smoke) beir.  You should visit there sometime on one of your trips.
On another note, there is a district just to the north of Bamberg that is one of the central locations for the manufacture of parts.  Gunsmiths in germany order 'parts' and assemble gun in a lot of cases.  Been done this way for years, of course they also have the 'big' mfg's but many a quality gun is made/assembled this old fashioned way.
Haven't been there (Germany) in a few.  I miss it.   Embarrassed

Ey, you show me as a 15 years old cycle mechanic in a bad mood!   Huh

Better you come over to Germany and we can have some nice beer in Franconia, the small breweries Cary mentioned are real great!

I have no connection with this listing, but I thought they were pretty neat beer drinking accoutrements.

Biggi
Heide and I would very much like to treat you and Joe sometime.  We are not that far away.
Unfortunately our last good contacts in Germany recently passed.  Getting old is getting burdensome.
Enjoy the spring.
Good weather is a week away.

45Gvmt. Really nice collection I really like that first one.
But  I'd be using that small non-lidded one as my coffee mug for sure. Wink

I vote fot brewing several in Bavarian style (include a wheat ale if you can) and everyone should be satisfied.
... but then again a good hard cider can also hit the spot!

.... seems like you don't miss much

The way my shooting went today, I'm thinking the old folks maybe had something going with their use of "group tightner".  I'd like to give it a good try but I'm afraid of getting busted driving home.  Things ain't like they used to be.

Why do the girls have rats in their aprons?

Why would someone put a target on their head? That seems unwise around people who are drinking.

What you think is a rat is actually the root of a radish if my memory is correct. Not sure the history or reason for it but that is just what I recall from days of yore.
As for the target, don't know unless it is to designate the Schuetzen Liesel as part of the shooting fraternity vs. those who play golf. Just kidding about the golf, I don't know the history on the target.

The white radish is a traditional munching snack with beer in some of the parts of of Germany, including Bavaria.  I asked Biggi about that a couple years back.   I gather that the concentric ring faced cap is also part of the iconic shooting club beer-maids costume as is the chatelaine with its many keys.
