Received some cast bullets in a trade but fellow did not have the mould and could not tell me who made it.
OAL is 1.150"
Weight is 284 gr. +-
Nose diameter .366
Front wiping band .372
Other bands and base .376

Mould is base pour type
I'd appreciate any help in identifying.

You may wish to provide the width of the grease grooves. They appear much larger than most of the black powder style bullets I have used. It might help identify who made them.

Did you try looking through the Accurate Molds on-line catalogue for a match?    its a long shot but you never know.

I looked over the accurate mould web site and the closest I could find was their #37-285. But it is .368 all the way from the nose to the base. Could not find a similar bullet in .375.

when you order from AM you can take a given bullet design as a base and then rework a lot of the dimensions on the order form to come up with a new custom design.  But he usually adds any significant variation to the "design inventory" as a new bullet

I checked the lube groove diameters of my .38 and .40 caliber molds:

Accurate Molds: .065"
Boomer Molds: .065"
Lyman Molds: .045"
Paul Jones Molds: .085"
RCBS Molds: .065"
SAECO Molds: .040"
Winchester Molds: .050"

It may be a Paul Jones Mold.
He made wider grease grooves for Black Powder bullets.

Schuetzendave,
That would be my luck...............
It has shown good potential, sure would like to find out who cut it or maybe someone that could take one of the few I have left and duplicate it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Although Paul Jones no longer makes his bullets, you can have Leo from Boomer Molds duplicate it for you.
