Need 25-20 Win, load data with Accurate 1680
Jan 5th, 2015 at 9:46pm
Print Post
I lucked out today and found that a buddy of mine was wanting to get rid of 5 or 6 hundred new 25-20 brass and a couple of thousand bullets of different weights, not that I needed all of it, but he wanted to sell it as a package.  Anyway not having much 4227, and having a pile of AA1680,  I'm looking for load data for bullets from 60 to 89 grain both lead and jacketed.  I sent AA an email but haven't heard anything yet.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Bob

25-20 WCF / .25-20 Winchester (Accurate Loading Guide #2) Reloading Data
Printable Version
Load Image
Warning! Notes: While not overly powerful, the .25-20 Winchester was once one of our most popular small game and varmint cartridges. Originally advertised as satisfactory for deer, it is generally accepted today that the .25-20 should be restricted to hunting small game. While accuracy in some of the original firearms was spotty, in a good bolt action or single shot it is capable of excellent performance. The .25-20 is a pupular cartridge for cast bullet shooting since it is easy to handload and obtain good results. The SAAMI Maximum Average Pressure for this cartridge is 28,000 CUP. Gun: Douglas; barrel length: 24"; primer: CCI 400; case: Rem; max length: 1.330"; trim length: 1.305"; OAL max: 1.592"; OAL min: 1.530".

Bob,

I could use some more brass if you are interested in selling some.  I also shoot a 25-20 but with 112 gr bullets breech seated.  It is very accurate caliber.  Have fun with it.
