Waage melting pots and service

My waage 20 lb. pot quit and after a bit I called Waage(pronounced wah-gee) and talked to Bruce. He quoted me $200 and change for a new pot or, if I remember correctly, $125 for a new heating element. He suggested I take it apart to determine the problem. Turns out the wire from the thermostat burned off next to the crimp connector to the heating element. Called Bruce back and he sent me for no charge a new crimp connector and a fiberglass insulating sleeve. I crimped it on and stuffed all the fiberglass insulation back into the pot and plugged it in. Voila,it works. Couldn't be happier with their customer service. Moral of the story is, if your pot craps out take it apart and determine the problem before chucking it.  Dennis
