Info on the 30 Wesson/ bullets-powder

Does anyone have information on loads for the 30 Wesson?  I have read the article by Garbe and have a few more questions.  I have a 1-10 twist barrel and would like to shoot a 200 or so grain bullet to buck the wind a little better.  Currently I shoot a 160/170 grain pointed bullet but seem to get pushed around by the wind a bit.   I have been offered a mold that will cast a 225 grain bullet, but think that after looking at the barrel/bullet program, might be just a little heavy to stabilize.  Anybody have information on shooting heavy (ier) bullets in the 30 calibers?  Thanks.

I would think that the powders that work best in other .357 based cases will work in the 30 Wesson. AA 9, H110, 4100, andd Ramshot enforcer.
As to bullet I agree 225 is a little heavy you could up the velocity and get it to stabilise but case sticking may become a problem  I'd stick with a bullet of 200 grs.

I am working on one too on a Lo Wall action with a 1/10 barrel. My problem is finding a chamber reamer. I hate to buy one at 147.00 to cut one chamber. Anyone out there have one to rent beg borrow or steal?

I don't think anyone will have a stability problem with a .308, 10 twist barrel, even up to a 240 gr bullet. I have shot bullets as heavy as 210 gr in my (32/35) Douglas 14 twist barrel in the 1450 fps range.

I have several 30 cal designs ranging from 1.2" to 1.3" long, with weights of 190 - 220 gr. Most are tapered, Ron Long/Paul Jones types but I also have 2 bore riding designs.

I'm putting a Ron Smith 13 (ending) twist barrel on my Hoch for the coming Spokane match with this chamber:

I was assured by members of this forum that the round was safe in the Lo Wall in a previous post. You have to treat the gun and round for what it is and not try and create a magnum out of it. The gun will be used for black powder and light smokeless loads. I don't anticipate problems but as always will proceed with caution.
