Question on making a tube scope

Making a tube scope as shown in the journal a few years back and started as a discussion on this forum.
Everything is simple and falling into place nicely but have one problem so far.  With all lens in their cells ( 3) the image is upside down.  Tried adding another lens ( 89 m/m) in the erector cell and all I accomplished is reduce the image, the image was still upside down.  Tried reversing the lens ( convex out ) to convex in with same result.
Would the reversing of the image possibly take place in the objective cell or perhaps the ocular or would I need another erector cell altogether ?
I know a few of these scopes were made a few years back, has anyone else run into this ?  How did you correct it or did you just live with it.
Just setting in the "V" block the magnification and clarity look to be very good but sure would like to get things right side up.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Reg, I don't know if I can help or not  but will give it a shot. I have made a scope more or less following what I have read on here along with a little help from another member. My scope has just 3 lens in it. They are all plano-convex, ie (l. When I set mine up the lens radius on all 3 lens point to the front of the scope. If that is not the problem the only other thing that I can think of is that perhaps your erector lens is to close to the eyepiece lens. Or perhaps too close to the objective lens. As the image passes through the lens it should hit the erector lens upside down. To do that  the erector lens must be beyond the focal length of the objective lens, and thus for the image to be turned right side up, the ocular lens must also be beyond the focal length of the erector lens. My front lens is a 150 mm focal length, my erector lens is about 230 or so from the front lens, the erector lens is 60 mm fl and it about 200mm or so from the eye piece lens. This set up gives me about a 6X magnification.
I hope this helps you out.

What are the focal lengths of your lenses and the positions such as the following?

1. Eye piece (ocualar lens) Focal Lenght

2. Field FL and distance from eye piece

3. Second field (your 99 FL) and distance from first field or eye piece lens

4. Objective lens FL and distance from the closest field lens

Give me the FL in mm and the distance from lens to lens in inches
